CHAMULA AND ZINACANTAN

You will visit two of the most important towns near San Cristóbal. Here you will see part of their costumes and culture, like the church, the way they do their beautiful embroidery as they did hundreds of years ago, and how they “throw” their hand made tortilla in the comal (you will be able to try some of it).

In Chamula you will be able to witness the activities in the church, with their unique ceremonies and traditions. You will also see their arts and crafts.

Arcotete

ARCOTETE, MAMMOTH CAVE AND THE OBISPO QUINTA
17 kilometers with a certified guide.

We start with the visit to the Mammoth cave since it is the furthest point from San Cristóbal. From there we will go to the Obispo Quinta. There we will see how they lived hundreds of years ago, surrounded by nature. In the vicinity we will visit one of the most important and beautiful parks called El Arcotete, with a landscape viewpoint where you can see the surrounding mountains. There is also a river, and a walking path.

Chiapa de Corzo

CHORREADERO AND CHIAPA DE CORZO
74 kilometers with a certified guide.

Ideal for cycling lovers. We will travel through different highways, some of them off the main road. This and other activities make it an extreme adventure. At Chorreadero you can swim, walk and enjoy a nice lunch.

The Sumidero Canyon is not included, but if you want, for an extra 10 dollars, we can take off to Chiapa de Corzo. From there you will take the tour by boat through the Sumidero Canyon, one of the most attractive sites in the state. On our way back there are two options; to hitch a ride back to San Cristóbal or to pay for transport for us and the bikes.
